In Flavor and Thought

The Gastrons are fiery peoples. In their fertile lands, ready-made dishes grow naturally, inspiring "Uncookery" - a reverse cooking craft. Their society thrives on celebrated meals and the governance of "Democrazy".

Appearance

The Gastrons come in all shapes and sizes. They favor simple, bland clothing, which mirrors their indifference to outward appearance and fashion. Vanity is strongly frowned upon in their culture, as the Gastrons place far more value on intellectual pursuits than on physical beauty. They prioritize knowledge, thoughtful discourse, and spirited debates over superficial concerns, fostering an environment where the mind is celebrated and personal appearance takes a backseat to intellectual achievement. They value scars from hard work or battle, so they take care to accentuate them.

The Gastrons value equality, freedom of speech and public service. Pioneers of governance, crafting the innovative "Democrazy" - a system which empowers citizens to elect representatives called Demons, during a heated elections season. These chosen form the "Parleyment", which governs the nation for the next five years. Cuisine, holds a special value for all Gastrons and each family is usually expected to honor this in some form. It's common for an individual's name to include a reference to food, symbolizing the deep cultural significance of their culinary heritage.

Nature provides a unique gift in their fertile lands - fully-cooked meals that grow in the soil. Very few actually consume these meals, they are either exported to other nations or are uncooked - raw ingredients are extracted and consumed in their purest form.
